Obituary of David A Armitage

Armitage David A. Age 33, of South Fayette Twp., formerly of Cecil, went to be with the Lord on December 31, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on November 13, 1978, in Mt. Lebanon. A son of Dale and Connie (Veydt) Armitage of Cecil. On December 31, 2008, he married Lauren Tokarczyk. A 1997 graduate of Canon-McMillan H.S., where he was an all-conference football player. He then continued his football career at Washington & Jefferson College, graduating in 2001. Dave was currently a math teacher at Keystone Oaks Middle School. He was a football coach for Keystone Oaks H.S. and a former coach for Chartiers Houston H.S. An avid sports lover, he enjoyed bowling, golfing and softball. He also enjoyed coaching Upward sports at the Bible Chapel. Surviving along with his wife and parents is his son; Kingston David Armitage, a sister; Jill (Jason) Kowalski of Cecil, his maternal grandfather; Alex Veydt of Cecil, a niece; Emerson Kowalski, parents-in-law; Bob and Sandy Tokarczyk of South Fayette and sister-in-law; Courtney Tokarczyk of South Fayette. Friends received Tuesday, 6-9 PM and Wednesday, 2-4 & 6-9 PM, in the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333). A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, 11 AM, in The Bible Chapel in the South Hills with the Pastor Ronald Moore officiating (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Interment to follow in Melrose Cemetery, South Fayette Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kingston David Armitage Education Fund, c/o Dollar Bank, 1717 Cochran Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15220.
