Obituary of Ruth D Slack

Slack Ruth D. (Portman) Age 80, of Scott Twp., on December 24, 2011. Beloved wife for 62 years of the late Joseph W. Slack, Sr., loving mother of James (Donna) Slack, Sr., Deborah (Michael) Grumet, Joseph "Bill" (Leesa) Slack, Jr., Thomas (Heidi) Slack, Carol (John) Platzer, Suzanne (John) Nemec, Jennifer (Beau) Quattrone, Michael (Jennifer) Slack and the late Mary Carlisle and her husband Mark, who survives, grandmother of Matthew, Michael and Mark Carlisle, Maureen Shields, James Slack II, Laura Slack, Carrie Lehman, Alison Grumet, Emily Spence, Jacqueline Fury, Jessica Hutton, Kim Tornabene, Nicole Slack, John and Michael Platzer, Michelle Muckleroy, Daniel Platzer, John and Andrew Nemec, Anna, Zachary and Elizabeth Quattrone, Ethan and Warren Slack, also 20 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Ruth was the youngest of 11 children to Joseph and Anna Portman, of Portman Farms. Friends received Tuesday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM, in the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, 10 AM, in Our Lady of Grace Church, Scott Twp.
