Obituary of George L. Rostron

ROSTRON GEORGE L. “Moonshine” Age 95, of Bridgeville on September 20, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Florence (Mazgola) Rostron, his “Sunshine”; loving father of Georgette (Jack) Swisher, Shirlee (Eric) Ross, Linda Schneider, George M. Rostron and Jeffrey (Diane) Rostron; brother of Richard, Roy and the late James Rostron; proud grandfather of Bill, Bonnie, Scott, Shannon, Blake, Jacob, Nicholas and Travis and several great and great-great grandchildren; cherished friend of Shirley Pollock. George was an avid hunter and fisherman and a devoted family man. He was a past President of the Sportsman’s Club, and a longtime brick and block subcontractor; his work can be seen all over the Pittsburgh area. Family and friends received on Saturday from 10 AM until 1 PM at the Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412.221.3333), where a service will be held immediately following at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you perform a random act of kindness in memory of George, as he was always so generous and helpful to others.
