Obituary of James Karakis

KARAKIS JAMES Age 88, of Bridgeville, on May 25, 2018. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Karakis and parents Peter & Mary Karakis. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. A member of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, where he was an active member of the choir and participated in many church activities and fundraisers. A veteran of the Korean War, serving in the US Navy. Friends received Monday, 4-8 PM, in the WARCHOL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333). Trisagion service will be held Monday evening at 7 PM in the funeral home. Additional visitation Tuesday morning from 10 - 11 AM, at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, Mt. Lebanon, followed by a funeral service at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church.
