I first met Donna in the AMEX Pittsburgh office in 1996 & knew immediately that she was a very special person. Her caring, supportive & genuine manner set her apart.
I was fortunate enough to have worked with her until 2000 at Larson LTC. We kept in touch over the years & my last conversation with her was this past May when she told about her illness & the battle she was waging. I had reached her in her office & she asked me not to call again because she didn’t expect to be in very much. Since that request I have agonized about how she was doing & even spoke with her boss Joe to get an update.
Anyone who met Donna has to be feeling a loss. She was truly a one of a kind rare gem of a human being & is now that “special angel” we all need.
God bless you Donna - say hi to Norma
Love
Joe

Dear Donna,
We will miss you terribly in so many ways; however, my most enduring memory of you from work will always be from the tremendous encouragement and support you provided us right after Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans in 2005. We were all in exile in St. Augustine, FL and had been told that we would not be allowed to live in New Orleans for at least 6 months. We were devastated in so many ways-financially, children's education, housing, work, emotions, and more.
When we were finally settled a bit in St. Augustine and I was able to call you, it was so refreshing to hear your voice because it represented normalcy at a time of horrific disruption to our lives and careers. We spoke and I expressed how concerned I was and how challenged and worried I was about supporting our family. Your encouragement was immediate and you offered to help however possible with any immediate work efforts in our new geography. It was right then that I developed a LTC teleconferencing program and now teleconferencing has since become a standard practice in the industry. You were always there for us but your support on that particular day and at that particular moment was a lifesaver and a game changer for me.
We will sorely miss your presence and will continue to remember you in our thoughts and prayers. Even though your Steelers sid not make it to the Super Game this year I'm sure you are now happily dancing in peace without all the pain you have recently endured; and for that we are grateful. Love, Joe, Ann, Sarah, Tony, and Emily Celano

We are so sorry to learn of Donna’s passing. My wife and I enjoyed being around her on the company trips. I personally enjoyed our “candid” conversations as she was never “shy” about saying what was on her mind. As far as professionally, I’ve never met anyone as dedicated and helpful in a business that sometimes forgets to say, “thank you for all you do” (what goes on behind the scenes).
You will be truly missed and our heartfelt condolences to Barry and the rest of her family.

Donna was absolutely the best neighbor. She always was the first person to help everyone in the neighborhood. Her bright smile and infectious laugh will be surely missed. Donna would always stop whatever she was doing to wave or talk to every person passing her home.
