To all the Laffey kids,
My sympathy in the loss of your mother. I worked for your dad a couple years in Pittsburgh when he was at Nernberg and Laffey and found him to be one of the world's nicest and most caring people. He was so proud of his family and often talked about Colleen. I don't recall whether I met her but certainly heard much about her and from the guestbook observations it sounds like they were perfectly matched. You are all most blessed to have had two such wonderful parents.

My name is Garrett Wilds and while I do not know you, the family of Mrs. Laffey, I did want to send my sincere condolences. During this time, please continue to depend upon each other. You no doubt have many wonderful memories together - keep those close to you and remember them fondly. Look to Scriptures such as Revelation 21:3,4 and John 5:28,29 for comfort and hope. And please know that I am genuinely thinking of you. Please take care of yourselves.
Sincerely,
Garrett Wilds

Chris, Leigh Ann, and Tim -
I spent so much time with your mother over the years, having fun and laughing all the time. We used to walk backwards on the people movers at the Pittsburgh airport, and then stop to eat! It was always a non-stop talk/laugh session with the two Colleen’s. She talked about her kids and grandchildren all the time.
It was a major shock when Leigh Ann and I talked and I found out your crazy wonderful mom had passed. I’m so sorry for your loss. She was a wonderful woman and I’ll never forget her laugh! I loved her very much.

Leah Anne, Tim and Chris,
I was so sorry to hear of your mom's illness and now her passing. She stopped by to see the boys and me when Bill passed last November. It was good to see her. Thinking of all her and Bill's years at Kroger's and then again of course through out all of our school years together. Life passes much too quickly.. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy for your loss. Always Lynn Heasley
