It is with immeasurable grief that Lori and Mike Gillis share the news of our son’s passing. Kyle Briggs was an excellent human in every way. He was a loving father to his daughters, Zoe and Lyla, and an outstanding son and friend. Additionally, Kyle is survived by his brother, Jacob Gillis, his aunt, Sharon Neaves, and his aunt and uncle, Julie and Jim Gibb. Kyle was predeceased by his father, Tom Wilson, and his grandparents, Nina and Al Briggs. Kyle is also survived by his fiancée, Renee Heinrich. Renee healed Kyle and provided music and joy and color to his days. His love of and devotion to Renee was beautiful and powerful and gladdened all of our lives. Kyle’s abiding wish would be for everyone to note that death, being inevitable, is not something to be feared or mourned. He wanted no gatherings or ceremonies. In that spirit, please spread some love and happiness in your travels. Play some music. Draw. Pet a cat. And love like you mean it.
