Age 82, of Bridgeville, was reunited with her husband in heaven on May 24, 2026 after only 3 days apart.  Beloved wife of Richard Anthony Grendys for 58 years; loving mother of Rick (Paula) Grendys, Kim (Zac) Kasper, and Debbie (Brandon) Burke; cherished grandmother of Evan (Maddy) Grendys, Anna Grendys, Adam Grendys, Emma Burke, Nathan Burke, Ian Burke, and Cole Kasper; sister of of Robert (Kristy) Rohm and the late Dianne (Johan who survives) Jackson; daughter of the late Craig and Ruth (Shipley) Rohm; sister-in-law of Gerry (the late George) Bobble and Berni (Ron) Sebastian; also many cherished extended family members, friends and neighbors.  A graduate of Slippery Rock University, Carol taught at Montour School District before leaving to take care of her family. Later on, she worked at the Hallmark store in Mount Lebanon before her retirement. Carol loved to bake Christmas cookies and made the best apple pies.  She enjoyed country music and line dancing with her husband.  She was an avid reader and animal lover, especially her cat Cosmo.  Carol’s greatest joys were her grandchildren and sitting on the porch with Richard enjoying the life they lived together.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Halcyon Senior Living and Commonwealth Hospice for their exceptional care and kindness.

Family and friends received on Thursday from 6-8 PM and Friday from 11 AM until 1 PM at the Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412.221.3333), where a Blessing Service will be held immediately following at 1 PM.   Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
