Arlene Francis (Zilonis) Chiodo, born on May 4, 1933, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
Arlene was the beloved wife of the late Anthony “Tony” Chiodo of Carnegie, Pennsylvania, with whom she shared many years of love, laughter, devotion, and treasured memories. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Anthony Zilonis and Margaret Wiltrakis Zilonis, as well as her dear sisters, Lenore Zilonis Tobin of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Maryann Zilonis Carter of Hillsdale, Michigan.
She is survived by her devoted children: Laurence “LJ” Neve, Robert Neve (Donna), and Michelle “Neve” Bracken. Arlene was a proud and loving grandmother to Paige Neve; Jake Bracken (Emily); Jessica Bowen (Andrew); Kaitlyn Neve-Cossio (Matthew); and Charles Neve. She also leaves behind two beloved great-grandchildren, Grace Bracken and Dane Bowen.
Through her marriage to Tony, Arlene was blessed with an extended family and step-children whom she embraced with love and affection, Deborah (Patrick) McMahon, Anthony F. (Denise) Chiodo, Jr. and Donna (Jackson) O'Grady. She was also a cherished step-grandmother to Kelly, Kevin, Michael (Jessica), Nicole, Molly (Clinton), Garrett, Tanner, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
Arlene dedicated more than 30 years of her life to healthcare, working at Central Blood Bank and several Pittsburgh-area hospitals before retiring. She was admired for her, tireless work ethic, and the kindness she extended to everyone she met.
Outside of work, Arlene found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She was an avid crossword puzzle enthusiast who rarely missed a daily challenge, and she enjoyed spending time with family, sharing stories, laughter, and creating lasting memories with those she loved most.
Arlene will be remembered for her warmth, strength, generosity, and love for her family and friends. Her gentle spirit and caring heart touched countless lives, and her memory will continue to live on in all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
Family and friends received on Tuesday from 3-6 PM at the Warchol Funeral Home Inc. 3060 Washington Pike Bridgeville (412.221.3333).
