In Loving Memory of Lucille L. Smith

Lucille Hunter Smith was born on July 24, 1946, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Ivern Adams.  She unexpectedly departed this life on May 22, 2026, at the age of 79. Lucille, affectionately known as Lou, received her formal education in the Allegheny County Public School System and graduated from South Hills High School in June 1964.  Upon graduation, she worked primarily as a legal assistant retiring from the County Attorney’s Office in the municipality of Hillsborough County, Florida.  She was a fashionista, an owner and lover of Corvettes and an avid collector of fine jewelry. She will be forever known for her God-given gift for interior designing and sewing skills.

She was the beloved wife of Daryl H. Smith, whose partnership and devotion were a lasting example of love and commitment. A devoted and loving mother, she cherished her children, Michele “Missy” Smith and Cameron (Diana) Smith, and took immense pride in the family they built together.

Her greatest joy was being a grandmother and great-grandmother. She leaves behind her treasured grandchildren: Kandyce Smith, Kame’ (Isaac) Harris, Kortny Sneed, Nemyah Lindsey, Jayla Smith, Janae Smith, and Jodee Smith. She was also blessed with ten beloved great-grandchildren — Kisa, Kasai, Kensee, Eric Jr., Erin, Kason, Elijah, Kaniece, Kyin, and Kaynon — each of whom brought endless happiness and laughter into her life.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ivern Williams (Johnny). brother, Clarence Hunter, and sister, Faye Williams.

She leaves to mourn numerous cherished aunts and uncles including Magnolia Richardson, Odell (Yvonne) Adams and a host of close cousins.

She will be remembered for her strength, warmth, unwavering love for her family, and the kindness she extended to everyone who knew her. Her presence brought comfort, wisdom, and joy, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved her.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, May 28, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon, at which time a funeral service will be held at Warchol Funeral Home, Inc..
