Born in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania, Sylvia was the cherished daughter of Verna and Dante Mincin. She was a devoted mother to John D. Bird and Linda Garlaus, and a proud grandmother to Taylor and Heather Garlaus, who were the light of her life.

Sylvia was known for her deep love of family and friends. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life—gathering with loved ones, tending to her plants and flowers, and sharing laughter over stories and memories. Her green thumb brought beauty to every space she touched, and her knack for bargain shopping was legendary among those who knew her best.

Her warmth, generosity, and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Sylvia’s legacy lives on in the hearts of her children and grandchildren, and in the countless lives she brightened with her kindness.

In keeping with Sylvia’s wishes, the family will honor her privately.
