Age 76, of South Fayette, on September 26, 2025, He was surrounded by his beloved wife of 51 years Catherine (Brucker) Grivnow; his son Stephen K. (Susan) Grivnow, and daughters Kimberly A. (Michael) Martin and Michelle E. (Simon Short) Grivnow. He is the cherished grandfather of Rowan Teco Martin; son of the late Stephen and Rita (Farrell) Grivnow; loving brother of Donna (the late Thomas) Buettner and the late Kelly; son-in-law of the late John and Elizabeth Brucker; brother-in-law of Joan, John, Nancy, Sandy, Jimmy, and the late Mary; uncle to 9 nieces and 8 nephews. As the son of a local World Cup Olympian soccer player, Steve grew up loving sports. He was an avid Steeler and Penguin fan, and enjoyed golf, softball, and dek hockey. He coached and refereed many soccer, softball, and hockey games, as well as moving the first down chains for South Fayette High School Football. He especially loved spending time with family and friends, playing cards, games, and listening to his favorite oldies. Steve was a longtime employee of Sears and Goodwill Manor and will be missed by all who knew him. Family and friends received on Tuesday from 2-6 PM at the Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412.221.3333). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 AM at Holy Child Church of Corpus Christi Parish. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital.
