Patricia Ann (Alderson)

Age 88, of Canonsburg, died peacefully on July 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 24, 1937, in Meadowlands, PA. A daughter of Charles and Josephine Malinak Alderson. On April 12, 1958, she married Howard Foltz, Jr., who died on August 12, 1997. Patty was a lifelong resident of Canonsburg, where she worked as a crossing guard for Canonsburg Boro. A devout Catholic and longtime member of St. Patrick Church of St. Oscar Romero Parish. She loved and adored her grandchildren and helped care for them when they were younger. Patty enjoyed camping in the Laurel Mountains with her family and friends for many years. Surviving are three children, Howard (Amy) Foltz III, Tracey (Jeremy Thompson) Willmann and Carol (Ron) Avolio, three grandchildren, Howard (Natalie) Foltz IV, Jessica (Jason) Platt and Abby (Zachary) Burgess, four great grandchildren, Ava, Payton, Dahlia and Howard “Huckie” V, also one brother, Richard Alderson. Deceased along with her husband Howard are four siblings, Faye (Paul who survives) Warchol, Charles (Margaret who survives) Alderson, Jr., Wesley Alderson and Bonnie Bell. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Family and friends received Sunday, July 27, from 2-6 pm and Monday, July 28, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, at the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221333). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, July 29, at 10 am, at St. Patrick Church of St. Oscar Romero Parish, Canonsburg. Interment to follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, Canonsburg.
