On July 4, 2025, at the age of 92 Shirley Walton Cengia, beloved wife of the late Virgil. Cherished mother of Joyce Boothman and Paul (Cinda) Cengia. Gram to Justin (Heather) Shadish, Kristin (Paul) Burdick and Megan (Leon III) Dwinga. Proud great grammy to Colton, Camden, Aubrey, MacKenzie, Marlee and Leon IV. Sister of the late James (late Belinda) Walton and Glenn (Donna) Walton.

Shirley’s family was her world. After raising her own two children, she played a big role in caring for her grandkids. Shirley had a beautiful soprano voice, quick wit, great sense of humor and uncanny memory for the most trivial of details. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, country music, old westerns and RV traveling. She and Virgil spent decades in retirement snowbirding on Hutchinson Island, Florida.

She was the most generous and loving mom, gram and great grammy and we will hold her memory in our heart forever.

Services will be private. Friends who wish to honor Shirley may do so with a donation to the Bridgeville Public Library, 505 McMillen Street, Bridgeville, PA. 15017.
