Obituary of Theodore A. Forkey, Jr.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ted A. Forkey, Jr., affectionately known as "Buster," on May 14, 2025. Ted was born to Theodore Adrian and Grace McCartney Forkey in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on May 16, 1956.
Ted was a proud graduate of Chartiers Valley High School’s class of 1974, and followed in the footsteps of his father to begin his career at Cyclops Steel in Titusville, PA in 1977. He later transitioned into various manufacturing roles, where his dedication and hard work left a lasting impact - finally retiring from Washington Rotating in 2019.
Ted was an avid outdoorsman who found solace in nature, whether hunting, fishing, or simply escaping the bustle of city life. He embodied the values of hard work, rising early and ending each day with a quiet appreciation for the simple things.
Preceded in death by his parents, Ted is survived by his beloved partner of more than 20 years Kathy Briselli, her sons and daughter April, and his cherished family: his sister Patti Skibiel and her husband Frank of McDonald, PA; his son Teddy and granddaughter Kadince; his daughter Aimee and her husband Ron and granddaughter Summer of Venango, PA; and his son Zach and his wife Kristin and granddaughter Poppy Grace of Springfield, VA. Ted’s love extended to his beautiful niece Tara and nephew Travis, their families, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
