Obituary of Beverly Johnson Bradford

We miss you. Happy Mother’s Day to Beverly Johnson Bradford (Maiden name: Harris) of Bethel Park, PA, affectionately known as “Bev”, “Bevy”, “Babe” and “Mema”. She was born on August 27, 1946, to the late Louis S. Harris and Rochelle V. Harris in Bridgeville, PA., and went home to be with the Lord on December 23, 2022. On January 10, 1992, she married Gregory Thomas Bradford who preceded her in death on September 29, 2010. Beverly was a dedicated community activist for many years and served as the Vice President of the Shadyside Action Coalition and Pierce Street Block Awareness Club to name a few. She was an Executive Assistant at UPS, Videographer, Artist/Painter, Notary and Co-Owner with husband Gregory of Boulaa Records. She is survived by daughters Denise R. Turner, Esquire, Renee Russell, Faye L. Blair, and Janice L. Henderson (Jack), son Kunta Bradford, Sister Celestine “Tina” Jones, nephew Gregory Jones Jr., niece Kimberly Parnell, aunt Betty L. Copeland, granddaughters Jazmine Walker (Quintin) and Danielle Rochelle Whitaker, grandsons Miles Jay Turner, Isaiah James Turner-Chase, Ayinde Bradford and Naphtali Bradford, great grandchildren A’mya Walker, Quintin Walker Jr. “Dose” and Syire Walker along with a whole host of cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by sons Jeffrey Jerome Johnson, James Perry Russell Johnson III and grandson Jayrome Johnson. Beverly was very spiritual, loved life and had a spicy personality with a young spirit. She was a great example as a mother to her daughter Denise who she affectionately called “NeeNee” and is also known as “Bev. Jr.” who misses her dearly. Keep resting well Beverly/Mom.
