Obituary of Cindy "Buddy" Lamoreau

Age 69, of South Fayette Twp., passed away suddenly on April 19, 2025. Loving mother of Lisa (Dave) Weaverling Sr., Amanda (Steven) Novotni, Melissa (Mike) Swerkle-Hathaway, Apryl (Keith) Powell, and George (Amy) Swerkle Jr., loving daughter of Frances and the late Clarence Lamoreau, Cindy was known to her grandchildren as Buddy. Her cherished grandchildren are Allana (Hunter) Galley, David Weaverling Jr., Emilinia and Elijah Novotni, Tanner and Willow Powell, and Geo Swerkle. Buddy also had a great grandbaby Roux Galley and was expecting her second one. Devoted sister of Lynne Goehring, Richard Lamoreau, Steven (Trish) Lamoreau and the late Michael Lamoreau. Cindy was gently welcomed into the arms of Jesus, the One she loved most, leaving behind a legacy of faith, warmth, and quiet strength. She lived each day with grace, rooted deeply in her relationship with the Lord, and her life was a reflection of His love. Her greatest joy came from being "Buddy" to her precious grandchildren. Whether baking, watching them play, or simply soaking in their laughter, Cindy’s love for her family ran deep and true. Her garden was another sacred space—where she nurtured life, prayed, and found peace among the flowers and sunlight. To know Cindy was to know gentleness, faithfulness, and a heart always open to others. She gave freely of her time, her prayers, and her presence. Though she will be deeply missed, we rejoice in knowing she is whole and healed in Heaven, walking in the beauty of her eternal garden. Friends received Thursday, April 24, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, at the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333), where a service will be held Friday, April 25, at 10 am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bbright.
