Obituary of Kathleen S. (Jones) Consoli
KATHLEEN SUSAN (JONES) CONSOLI, 66, long-time resident of Scott Township, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, April 5, 2025 after a long and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Kathy was the beloved wife of James V. Consoli for 46 and a half years; loving mother of Jennifer and Gina Consoli; treasured sister to Mary Beth (Scott) Schaefer and David (Carol) Jones, and sister-in-law to Jack (Ruth) Consoli and Robert (Frances) Consoli; cherished aunt and cousin, and precious friend to many. Kathy was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Joseph and Josephine Consoli, and her son-in-law, Jamie Norris (Jennifer).
Kathy was born in Washington, PA to the late Verner C. And Nova J. (Cowden) Jones, grew up in Pleasant Hills, graduated from the Thomas Jefferson High School business program (1976), and was an award-winning member of the Future Business Leaders of America. Shortly after graduation, she was employed at the U.S. Bureau of Mines in Bruceton, PA, advancing to the position of Office Manager. Later on in life, she enjoyed volunteering as a library assistant at Our Lady of Grace School and worked part-time at Plantscape, Inc. in various office roles.
Kathy was a dear member of Ruthfred Lutheran Church, where she married the love of her life on October 28, 1978. She birthed both of her girls with absolutely no medications (and proud of it!), and was the Best Mom Ever up until her death, despite her debilitating disease onset in the early 1990s.
Greatest of all, she was redeemed by Jesus Christ her Savior, and was a living testament to her profound faith in Him. A light to all she came in contact with and always with a beautiful smile on her face, Kathy would greet you with the warmth of the sun. A true conversationalist with a gentle spirit, she never met a stranger. She was always compassionate, friendly, truly kind, and the best audience for any nearby jokesters. Still... her subtle quick wit, sense of humor and competitive gameplay were not to be underestimated!
Those surrounding Kathy and Jim are blessed to have witnessed their love story and their devotion to one another. Kathy was her husband’s true inspiration and motivation in life, and he has noted that these words from the song “Kentucky Woman” (as performed by Deep Purple) express how he will always feel about her:
She shines with her own kind of light
She’d look at you once,
And a day that’s all wrong looks all right
And I love her
God knows, I love her
