Age 62, of Bridgeville, unexpectedly at home, on January 29, 2025. Beloved husband of Kathy (Sickle) Nelson; loving father of Bryan Nelson, Kevin Nelson, and the late A.J. Nelson; cherished son of Kathryn Nelson and James (Dalia) Nelson; and devoted brother to Kurt Nelson and Dana Nelson. Scott was employed as a sourcing specialist for UPMC, where he worked for 40 years. An avid bowler, Scott was a longtime member and president of the Wynnecliffe Bowling League. He also took great pride in coaching, volunteering as both a youth bowling coach at Sports Haven Bowl and a youth baseball coach for the Bridgeville Athletic Association. Scott looked forward to yearly family vacations in Ocean City, MD, where he enjoyed catching up on reading, taking walks along the beach, and playing miniature golf with his family. He was also a passionate fan of Pittsburgh sports, especially his beloved Pirates. In his spare time, Scott enjoyed watching movies, birdwatching, and listening to music with his wife Kathy. Above all, Scott was a devoted husband, father, son, and brother who treasured and supported his family with unwavering love and dedication. Friends will be received Sunday, February 2, from 2-6 pm, at the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333), where a Blessing Service will be held Monday, February 3, at 10 am.
