Age 99, of Collier Twp., on February 29, 2024 passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Theodore A. Forkey, Sr.; loving mother of Patti (Frank) Skibiel and Theodore (Kathy) Forkey, Jr.; cherished grandmother of Tara (Joshua) Chappel, Travis (Tyler) Skibiel, Teddy Forkey, Aimee (Ron) Forkey, and Zachary (Kristin) Forkey; sister of Evelyn Barbish and the late Harvey McCartney, Harry McCartney, Donald McCartney, Caroline McCartney, and June Stewart; great grandmother (GG) of Summer, Kadince, Aaron, Santana, Nevada, and Stoney. She was known as “Gram” to many and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Grace was a lifetime and active member of Federal United Methodist Church, where she served for many years as treasurer. She served as a committee chairperson for the Allegheny County Democratic Party, and president of the PTA, as well as Pennsylvania PTA Council president. As matriarch of the family, she cared for all in need. Grace enjoyed baking, crocheting, reading, gardening, and playing cards/games. She was proud of her collection of over 1,500 salt and pepper shakers. Grace loved vacationing and being with her family sharing her wisdom, laughter and joy for life. Grace attributed her longevity and good health to her energetic nature that kept her busy with projects at all times. Grace was truly a gem to all who were blessed to know her. Family and friends received on Monday from 4-8 PM, at the Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412.221.3333), where a service will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM.
