Age 97, of Bridgeville, peacefully entered her Heavenly home on Sunday February 4, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Deeply committed to her faith; the armor that led her through whatever challenges life handed to her. Her greatest pleasure came from cooking and baking. She was delighted in feeding all who entered her home and giving to all who left. That joy continued with the loving assistance from her girls and grands.
Kathryn has now joined her dearly departed son, Larry Frye, daughter, Jean Lewis and granddaughters, Sherrie and Karen. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Lewis (Bill), Patty Maceil (Charlie), Susan Frye (Klaus), Bernadette Frye (Chris) and grandchildren; David, Lisa, Eric, Michael, Richie, Wendy, Jill, Leanne, Kristin, Richard and Becki. Kathryn was the proud matriarch of a large and loving family of 70+ with 27 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Family and friends received Thursday Feb 8, from 2pm – 8pm, at the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333). A Funeral Liturgy will be held at St. George Orthodox Church, 3230 Washington Pike on Friday, Feb 9 at 10am (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH).

Celebrating the life of Kathryn J. "Kareme" Frye
Thank you for signing Kathryn J. "Kareme" Frye's Guestbook
My condolences to the family. A comfort that can help at times like this, is a promise from our Heavenly Father. He promises in the near future to swallow up death forever & to wipe tears from all of our eyes. This is a happy thought to meditate on in sad times like this. Isaiah 25:8

Sending love and prayers your way as you prepare to celebrate her life, as you did in her lifetime! She was beautiful inside and out, faithful, and an amazing baker and cook! So glad she passed on her skills! It doesn’t matter how old or sick people are, death of a loved one cuts us to the core. God is with you on your personal journey of grief. Know God is beside you and holding you in the palm of His hand. I love you! Nancy (sister-in-law of Linda and Bill Lewis and family!)

I’m so sorry to learn of Gram’s passing. She was the beloved matriarch of the family for multiple generations, and no matter how old our loved ones are, the pain of the loss is no less great. She was and will continue to be a gift to all who knew her and were blessed enough to learn and appreciate her values—and awesome cooking!!!
Much love and prayer,
Donna and Brian
