Celebrating the life of Darlene K. (Prokop) Bittner
Thank you for signing Darlene K. (Prokop) Bittner's Guestbook
Sorry girls for this late message about your mother. I was stunned when I got the call that Sunday morning from Casey. Everything I've read on this guestbook site confirms what all knew. Darlene was Special, in all ways of her life. I'm saddened that I hadn't spoke to here since April. We're always left with things unsaid an that infectious joy she always had, I will miss. God bless you Molly and Casey and your family. Praying for strength and comfort at this time. I'm sorry I won't be in attendance for your Mom's service. Sincerely, Bob

Mary and I are so very sorry for your loss. We spent many fun weekends with Darlene at Put-In-Bay. We will treasure those good times. We will miss her terribly, but we know she will be with us in spirit forever.

Hi Casey and Molly, I really enjoyed working for your Mom in recent years at the annual Thanksgiving event she organized for Our House. We became good friends and had a lot of laughs and good times over the years, along with your Dad, who was a devoted music lover. I'm so glad I saw your Mom recently when I got back to Pittsburgh. Darlene and Rabbit will both be missed!

To our dear friend. What memories were made at WVU and beyond. Polish roommates with never a dull moment. A true friend who knew how to party too!. A pillar of strength who always lend an ear. We will miss her laugh the most. With deepest sympathy to Casey, Molly, Butch, and families. She will be missed, but realize she is with Rabbit and smiling down on us.

To Darlene's family,
We are both so sad and send our sincere condolences to you for your loss of Darlene. We consider ourselves honored and fortunate to have known both Darlene and Rabbit. She was a generous, giving, fun ParrotHead friend of ours, who we enjoyed being with at Put In Bay, OH. Our "feeding frenzies" at the cottage will always be remembered, as she made the BEST gołąbki... enough to feed an army and so delicious! Sail on, Darlene,...we will always remember you fondly. Our love and hugs go to her family and friends.

Dear Bittner Family, Although I didn't know Darlene as well as some, from the time I met her I found her to be funny and full of life. We had a similar sense of humor and "got each other." I treasure the time we did have at Pflockings and 1/2 Way parties!
Take comfort knowing that she is with Rabbit again in the place that the Lord prepared especially for them.
Rest easy my friend. I'll surely miss you.

Casey and Molly, We are so very sorry to hear of your mom's passing. Our hearts are with you and your entire family. We have so many wonderful memories from Put-In-Bay that we cherish. So many good times spent with good friends (and good food!). Your mom was a blessing to so many people. She "mothered" all of us. And, we are all the better for it. Keeping you in thoughts and prayers.
